Teaching Conditions in Korea

 

School system and students ages

-Elementary school: +6 year olds. Length is 6 years
-Middle school: +12 year olds. Length is 3 years.
-High school: +15 year olds. Length is 3 years.
In general there are around about 35 students per class.

 

Classroom hours and periods

In general: Elementary school has 40 minute periods. Middle school is 45 minutes and high school is 50 minutes.

 

Your co-teacher

You will always be working in collaboration with your co-teacher at the school.
Your co- teacher will be responsible for helping you consult, direct and operate the classwork and in and out of the classroom.
They also assist you in the Contract, salary, insurance, tax.etc.
